Tribute

Dear beings,

As the mass of the Historical Linguistics ended never to come again, I felt like I should contribute to it somehow and say farewell to it by making this prayer...

Don't worry about me, I'm still insane as I can be:)))

Linking Results

Dear ones,

Due to the wrath of the Evil Tech (read: The Internet), Your poor High Emissary failed in the battle for publishing results given by our kind Elizabeth...However, some of us succeeded, believe it or not, and my duty now is to guide You to the one who have the answers to all of Your questions (well, not all, but...)...Follow the link to the blog held by a teacher, Adriana is her name, enter, and find what lies there, precisely marked and true...my work here is done...

The Glitch

Dear followers,

Here is what Elizabeth said:

First, a reminder:

I will be in my office from 10am-12pm tomorrow (Monday) morning to sign indexes and discuss final grades.  I will also sign indexes on the first day of classes.

Secondly:

I know you are all anxiously awaiting your final grades. Unfortunately, for long and very boring reasons I need to scan a printout of my records in order to send you your grades in electronic form.  Of course, following Murphy's Law, my scanner has decided that this is an excellent time to stop working and it is not interested in any attempts to coax it into a functional state.  Ain't technology grand?

I will track down a working scanner tomorrow and hopefully be able to send you something by Tuesday morning.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth, a victim of technology

Cornerteers

Dear followers,

The American Corners in Novi Sad is looking for a regular person to work for the Kid's Corner on Friday afternoons- 5pm-6pm.  They need someone who is good with children, likes to read to them and facilitate with games and other activities.  If you are interested, please contact Prof G who can put you in touch with them.
It's not a paid job but you will get perks like food, free internet, and more book and magazine privileges.  In addition, you will get to meet and spend time with the awesome coordinators there, Milicia and Marko!  If you are interested in teaching at the elementary level or you are interested in small agency/non-profit work, this could be a nice way to get some work experience as well.

Elizabeth Reports More Precisely...

Clarification:
Jacquie and I will be examining our own students for the oral exam and we have both posted sign-up sheets. You will be doing the exam in pairs, so the sign up sheets are there so you can choose your own partners and approximately when you would like to take the exam. For my groups, there will be two sessions, one from 10.00-12.00 and one from 13.00-15.00. Please check the list at the beginning of your session just in case I have to make some adjustments and PLEASE be on time. If you are late you will lose your place and you will have to wait for the end of the session.

For those of you who missed it, I will be giving a make-up listening test at 12.00.  You may only come if you were not able to make the original date.

See you all on Saturday!

Elizabeth Reports...

Dear followers,

Elizabeth: "I've posted a sign-up sheet for the oral exam on the door of our office (67/II) and I've written the names of the French and Italian people in the first slots of the second session in pencil so you guys can rearrange the pairs however you'd like."
